# Welcome

Use this inbox note until you have a rhythm. Goal: **one source of truth** for what runs your home.

## First 30 minutes

1. Create a device note for your **primary hub** under `devices/`.
2. Copy your most important **automation** (the one you’d miss first) into `automations/`.
3. Add **next maintenance** (HVAC filter, smoke detector batteries) under `maintenance/`.

## Conventions

- **Project** field = house name or `home-automation` so filters stay grouped.
- Prefer **model + firmware** on every device note; update after upgrades.

## Red flags to document

- Anything that **fails open** (unlocked, lights on) when the hub is offline.
- Any cloud account that can control locks or alarms.

Delete or archive this note once your structure feels obvious.
